We're Sebastian and Katie, a husband-and-wife team with a shared passion for traveling the world in search of great waves. Katie is a meteorologist who honed her forecasting skills at Surfline, while Sebastian holds an MBA and spent over a decade as a professional vacation advisor. We decided to combine these skills into Kemana, a business built around the thing we love most: surf travel. Kemana (kuh-MAH-nah) is the Indonesian word for ‘where to' – a fitting name for a business that came to life during our years living and surfing in Bali.

Beyond the credentials, what drives Kemana is something simpler – we're surfers who have spent years traveling the world, scouting breaks, taking notes, dropping pins, and building relationships with the people and places that make each destination special. We've done the homework so you don't have to.

We started Kemana because we love helping people score great waves and create memories for life – whether it’s a solo mission to a new spot, a family getaway, or a friends trip that leaves the whole crew stoked.
